Song of the Day: Audioslave - Like A Stone

This is a dreadful day in rock music. Chris Cornell announced he is leaving Audioslave. Dang it, just when there was finally a band out there making some solid rock music.

WHAT!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? *cries* big salty man-tears*

OH GOD WHYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!!11!!1!1

Seriously, even though they were a bunch of liberal fools, I LOVED their music, and have all of heir albums. They are the ONLY contemporary rock band that I have ever had interest in, and now they are likely to be the last.

RIP, Audioslave.

Ya know, Paula, I WASA gonna post on your blog, but everything has to be 'operator approved'. So much for the First Ammendment, eh? Maybe you should cal up Mr. Edwards and have him educate you a bit ;) ?

Bring it, woman! I got steel toe boots AND a Chinese Character Workbook with your name on 'em!

sweet mercy, my blog has become a receptacle for threats of open violence.

A Chinese character workbook? Goodness, that is scary. I don't know what to do over that one.

Also, my blog does not necessarily fall under the requirements of the First Amendment unless I post some sort of obscenity or defame someone untruthfully. I let all kinds of crazy commentary go through. The only reason I have operator approval is so that my mother's redneck boyfriend (hopefully ex-boyfriend) cannot post on my blog. He brings out my inner redneck and causes me to look around for 2 by 4's.

How's that for violence, Steve Machine?

On the subject of Audioslave:

Some people, mostly Soundgarden and RATM fans, thought Audioslave, for whatever reason, was crap. I loved it, but maybe that's because I never really knew the artists before, and so I had absolutely no expectations when i heard them for the first time ("I Am The Highway", on y100, may ye rest in peace).

Apparently, they broke up because Tom Morello (the guitarist) is a 'famous protestor' and feels the world needs songs of rebellion. The sick part is that this guy is arrogant enough to think that the Bush administration got elected because their band broke up. Furthermore, he feels that an upcoming concert he's having will 'Topple the Bush administration once and for all'. Moron. I'll definitely be following Cornell after the split, not that dufus. It makes me sad when artists who are so skilled get tunnel vision over political issues that they have no power over. He'll probably give himself credit for when Mr. Bush leaves office at the end of his term, even though that's what EVERY president does.

...Except for the ones who got shot, and Nixon, if I'm not mistaken.
